Course Structure

GRA offers impartial Information Advice and Guidance around learning, qualifications and progression routes to Adults who are either unemployed or in work but require English and / or Maths qualifications to find and secure sustainable long-term career opportunities or would like to progress into Further Education, Higher Education or apprenticeships. All our learners are formally assessed and are offered a high-quality support package that is Matrix accredited.

Support

Our inclusive environment ensures we offer prospective learners the most suitable course at GRA or we can offer signposting service to another College or community course.
Offering UK nationally recognised Functional Skills qualifications to underpin any existing skills. We also support our learners with CV writing, job search, application forms, interview skills – often this is included as part o the delivery at the higher level English courses. GRA assists where possible with barriers that may prevent learners with achieving, childcare, shift patterns and other factors that can negatively impact with fulfilling their potential. The option of learning online has proved successful in overcoming many of these barriers.
We offer learners an opportunity to development their IT skills – with basic IT Courses being offered.

Individual Learning Plans 9ILPs)

All assessment / interview sessions are confidential, and all learners will leave with an understanding of their English and / or Maths Levels along with an ILP detailing the agreed steps that need to be taken to reach their goals and aspirations. Learners benefit from regular, ongoing SMART reviews together with ongoing tracking to ascertain the effectiveness and quality of learning they are receiving and of the support offered.
